Design
In a little over 20 feet the Catalina Design Group has come up with a comfortable four-person cockpit aft, plus an enclosed cabin with an upholstered V-berth double that can be curtained off for privacy, two upholstered settee singles, a dinette, a Porta-potti and the galley. Eight inches of additional beam at the deck mean a larger, more comfortable cockpit. A new lifting pop-top is standard, with tinted Plexiglass sliding companionway hatch.

Performance
The Catalina 22 Mark II is easy to sail and easy to manage. Halyards lead aft to the cockpit, and the mainsail is controlled by end-of-the-boom sheeting led to a traveler designed into the pushpit. Having dedicated lead ballast down low is a reassuring performance enhancer and a very positive attribute aboard a 22-foot cruising boat.

Quality
First-class hardware, anodized spars, and precision molded dagger boards add to the lasting quality. Catalina provides five year gel-coat blister protection as well as five year hull structure warranty.
